It's got the extra-fast taper that provides plenty of power in the lower two-thirds of the rod for making long casts and handling big fish in difficult water, especially when that big chinook decides to eat your jig. The tip is nice and light to help make smooth casts and telegraph the bite. IMX makes it incredibly light so you can fish all day long without fatigue.
