With lower clearer water, side drifting and fishing jigs and smaller beads under a float will be also successful. Don’t forget the pink worm! Pink worms are always a good bet and you will like the aggressive take you get on them. Duck harvest numbers at the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area are down but expected to pick up again with sheet water dissipating. Large flocks of Bluebills are up and down the Columbia with some Canvasbacks mixed in. Catch and Release Sturgeon fishing still remains good in the Willamette river. Look to find concentrations in moderate depths (40-50 foot range). As always, please be sure to check your states hunting and fishing regulations. Happy New Year and good luck.
