Outdoor Report 12/8

As was forecast, the freezing weather, snow and wind got the local birds moving and brought fresh birds into southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon. Reports from Eastern Washington and Oregon also look good as the migration has begun in earnest. For those who would rather chase the finned critters, Steelhead have been showing up on the north coast rivers as well as in the metro area tributaries. Bobber doggin' with larger beads and plug fishing has been producing chrome in the higher water conditions. Southern Oregon rivers are still kicking out large Fall Chinook. Those who will brave the current weather conditions will score well on Willamette River catch and release Sturgeon. If you go out, please be careful as the road conditions are forecast to be bad and this cold weather can turn a simple accident into a disaster. Be Safe!
