Southwest Washington river anglers are still having good success twitching for Coho. Reports of Steelhead east from the John Day to the Clearwater river in Idaho are good for late fall run fish. Winter Steelhead should start showing up in lower Columbia River tributaries in the coming days. Northwest duck hunters are still waiting for northern migrations to start. October 29th on Sauvie was holding at 1.5 birds per hunter. Scaup season opens this Saturday, November 5th. Oregon Rocky Mountain Elk second season opens this Saturday, November 5th. Make sure you check the regulations. Shoot straight and tight lines.
