At the core of the SS A Series is a full stainless steel gear system, including a stainless-steel main gear, precision machine-cut pinion gear, and drive and spool shafts. The reel is housed in a rigid diecast aluminum frame and handle side plate (ALC construction), minimizing flex and keeping all internal components aligned under load.
