This classic dry fly pattern has worked well for decades and will continue to do so as it is a wonderful mayfly imitation. Having rows of them loaded up to imitate everything from BWO's to Drakes the Blue Dun has proven itself on rivers around the world. Some of the distinguishing features are the upright wings and dark thorax.
